Green impact
We believe in a green, sustainable future. And we know: it doesn’t happen on its own.
Working together towards a responsible supply chain
From grower to shop floor, we collaborate with our employees, growers, and retail partners to reduce waste, ensure responsible sourcing, and make efficient use of energy and materials.
Responsible sourcing
We are working to increase the proportion of responsibly sourced flowers and plants. In the first quarter of 2026, 91% of our purchasing was FSI-compliant, compared to 82.3% for the whole of 2025. This means these products meet the certification requirements of the Floriculture Sustainability Initiative. We are also expanding our organic product range.
Smarter packaging and transport
We use recyclable sleeves and reusable trays. Where possible, we package products directly at the grower. This minimizes repackaging, material use, and unnecessary space during transport. By consolidating our operations in a single location, we also shorten internal transport routes.
Efficient energy use
With 3,800 solar panels on our roof, we generate over one million kWh of electricity annually. We also utilize electric heat pumps and modern CO₂ cooling systems. This cooling technology can use up to 40% less energy than traditional systems. Any remaining energy required is purchased from suppliers of renewable energy.
Reducing waste
We minimize waste at the source as much as possible and separate green waste, plastic, and general waste. This enables the recycling of suitable materials. When making packaging choices, we evaluate what is necessary to protect the product properly and where material use can be reduced.
Continuously improving together
We keep making the supply chain more sustainable. By leveraging data and dashboards, we align our planning and processing more effectively, helping us prevent product loss and eliminate redundant operations.
